Phillip Lim Autumn/Winter 2012-13
The Phillip Lim man changed his identity from the sophisticated sportswear garments worn this winter, to a punk, Sixties boot-boy look for Autumn/Winter 2012-13. Asymmetries and layering dominated the fashion show in a series of looks with organza, leather and latex that were added to oversized coats in thick wool, but also colorful bomber jackets and coats in herringbone. The silhouette was well defined by high-waisted pants but softened by an oversized knit to create proportions for a modern balance. On the basic use of black and white, Phillip Lim created a layering of fabrics and colors to make what he defines “a balanced visual symphony.”.
